The story behind the&#8230;   Kangaroo Scrotum Pouch The kangaroo scrotum pouch hails from an aboriginal legend that tells of an aboriginal boy who came across a kangaroo while walking in a bush and caught it by the tail and then made a purse out of its scrotum. He gave this purse to his girlfriend who loved it so much she decided to keep seeds and berries in it. After that he went on to get one for his father after spotting a large kangaroo. Ever since then the male kangaroo scrotum pouches have been famous among the aborigines. The aborigines considered them, and still do, as lucky charms. The soft ones are made for the women and the hard wrinkled ones for the men to define their femininity and masculinity and were recognized as bringing luck items. Thus the name “lucky purse” or “lucky pouch.”  The kangaroo scrotum pouch has been part of the Australian history for a long time, thus the increasing interest and popularity of the item. The pouch is tanned into different colors through a professional process in Australia and is designed to have one small hole or tear. It is loved by indigenous Australians because its leather is strong and lasts. It is made to be seamless and the durability of the leather makes it perfect for keeping coins in modern times.
